What will be your daily pursuit?

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Performance and Growth Marketing Manager with a strong digital-first marketing background, with experience with digital advertising platforms, email marketing, and campaign development and management. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Performance and Growth Marketing and supporting the Marketing Operations team, you will be responsible for leading the holistic email strategy, developing and delivering on cross-channel campaign strategies in collaboration with internal teams and our agency partners, and supporting our personalization and CRM roadmap. We are looking for a hands-on professional with a proven track record in scaling organic and paid customer acquisition channels and optimizing retention and upsell tactics. Your expertise will be essential in developing, delivering and connecting paid and owned strategies.

Compensation

$60,000 - $70,000 CAD per Annum + Benefits

 

This is a hybrid role, and can be based in Calgary, Canmore or Banff.

What will you do in this job?

KEY AREAS OF FOCUS:

EMAIL:

  • Manage email and SMS marketing team to align outbound broadcast communications and pre and post stay sequences with digital customer journey frameworks.
  • Analyze email metrics to improve conversions, delivery rates, and plan future strategies.
  • Leverage email and marketing automation platforms capabilities to segment audiences, create automation workflows, conduct A/B testing, and generate reports.

 

PAID MEDIA:

  • Collaborate with geography marketing teams and external agencies to define seasonal ad briefs.
  • Support day-to-day interactions with external agencies and partners, including delivery and management of performance media campaigns and calendar, collaborating with internal cross-functional partners.
  • Collaborate with external agencies and internal cross-functional and geography teams to develop marketing plans that leverage paid channels in coordination with owned channel tactics.
  • Deliver detailed and actionable insights, strategic recommendations, allowing leadership to clearly understand what tactics and strategies are driving performance throughout the funnel.

CRM AND PERSONALIZATION:

  • Navigate through multiple data sources to analyze customer journey (from initial traffic source to transaction) and establish a clear understanding of customer behavior and to help inform mid to long-term online channel strategy.
  • Utilize first-party data to drive growth, leveraging our segmentation and audience insights to ensure our messaging and channels are relevant and effective.
  • Roadmap and develop A/B testing, leveraging CRM/CDP data.

 

Other proficiencies:

  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, using KPIs to optimize campaign performance and drive better engagement and performance.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies and conducting tests to improve platform performance.
  • Experience integrating email campaigns with CRM systems, such as Salesforce or HubSpot, to ensure personalized communications and data synchronization.
  • Must-have: A passion for continuous learning, staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in paid media, email marketing and automation.
  • Support the Sr. Manager, Performance and Growth Marketing and the larger Pursuit marketing team with strategic planning all other tasks as directed.
  • Work collaboratively with Project Managers to ensure the execution of paid marketing and email programs.
  • Leadership and coaching of direct reports.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

 

Required Skills and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equal industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in email marketing and/or paid media.
  • Strong knowledge of hospitality, marketing and digital marketing principles.
  • Proficiency in managing digital advertising campaigns, with a strong understanding of performance metrics and optimization strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful marketing strategies that drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Experience in HTML for customizing email templates and troubleshooting code-related issues.
  • Experience working with an email service provider platform, bonus points for Braze.
  • Strong understanding of privacy laws, including CASL, GDPR, etc.
  • Strong experience using essential MS Office tools such as Excel, Outlook, PPT, Word, Teams required.
  • Must possess valid Passport and Driver’s License
