About this role
The Sales Coordinator, Affiliates plays an important role in the Pursuit Sales Team and supports the overall
day-to-day sales activities with our affiliate partners in Banff, Alberta. To be successful in this position you
must have the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively with partners and internal stakeholders with a
passion for building relationships, and striving to have fun while doing that will be the most important aspect
of this position!


The Sales Coordinator, Affiliates is the first point of contact for our affiliate partners and can expect to spend
approximately 70% of their time out of the office visiting partners. The primary focus is to ensure partners
understand all the Pursuit products they will sell to their guests and to ensure the best possible guest
experience for both our partners and guests.


This role provides a great opportunity for someone who is looking to make connections and meet people
throughout the Bow Valley, share stories at an individual level as well as in front of groups, tell everyone about
the incredible Pursuit experiences we offer throughout the Canadian Rockies and have fun doing it. If you want

This is a seasonal position, with an immediate start date through to October 11, 2024 with a possibility to
extend based on the needs of the business.

Compensation

$20/hr This is a fixed term position until October 11th 2024 with a possibility to extend, based on business needs

What will you do in this job?

/ Build & maintain strong industry relationships with our partners in Banff and internal Stakeholders,
including the Pursuit Sales Team.
/ Conduct sales calls, familiarization (FAM) tours, site inspections, and product training sessions with
partners, weekly and as required.
/ Support the Sales Manager, Affiliates in responding to all affiliate partner requests in a timely manner
and as assigned.
/ Participate in idea generation for sales activities and ways to increase sales and improve processes in
order to exceed sales targets and provide exceptional service to our partners.
/ Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date partner profiles in Delphi, Pursuit Collection’s CRM.
/ Prepare commission cheques and ensure they are delivered in person to partners in a timely manner.
/ Promote Pursuit products during affiliate visits and selected regional events (i.e.: affiliate appreciation
events, Canada Day, Pursuit local’s days, affiliates FAM).
/ Assist with coordination of familiarization tours and site inspections.
/ Manage, motivate, and troubleshoot issues on a daily basis.
/ Assist with and completing other administrative tasks as needed.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

/ A driver’s license is required for this role, which must be converted to an Alberta Class 5 driving license
for insurance purposes (manual transmission an asset).
/ Energetic, enthusiastic, quick learner who sells their passion for Pursuit and its products.
/ Excellent hospitality mindset and guest service skills, including dedicated service to both internal and
external clients.
/ Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to see multiple projects
and tasks through to completion on a timely basis.
/ Comfortable speaking in public and to groups of various sizes on similar product topics.
/ Ability to work on a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.
/ Highly detail-oriented, with strong administration and organization skills.
/ Physical working environment with walking and stair climbing and standing required.
/ Knowledge of the tourism industry and local knowledge of the area - Calgary, Bow Valley, Golden &
Jasper (an asset).
/ Experience with Microsoft Office tools essential (eg.: Excel, Outlook, PPT, Word, Teams).
