What will be your daily pursuit?

The Web Content Specialist will update and publish content for all Pursuit websites. Reporting into the User Experience & Platforms Manager, the Web Content Specialist will work closely with Pursuit Marketing teams across North America & Iceland, the central Marketing Operations Team, in addition to other team members within the Pursuit marketing organization to ensure that Pursuit’s websites are supporting our vision/mission, growth strategies and revenue targets.

Salary range: $55,000 – 60,000 / year

What will you do in this job?

What you’ll do

  • Work with the copywriting team to execute content modifications, additions and deletions within the web content management system.
  • Work with the User Experience team to set up new website pages/sections, campaign landing pages and implement approved digital enhancements within the web content management system.
  • Contribute to the process of information design to ensure that content is appropriately structured to meet the goals for the different Pursuit sites and the needs of users.
  • Perform image manipulation tasks such as resizing, color correction and other graphic modifications.
  • Collaborate with the User Experience team, developers and support team members on the production of websites and digital platform improvements.
  • Strive to ensure quality assurance, consistency and brand alignment of all web properties.
  • Continually monitor the websites in a proactive manner to ensure that content is current, and pages are error-free.
  • Execute user-experience tests and provide insights and recommendations.

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

Experience you’ll need to be considered for the job

  • 2+ years Web Administration experience using a variety of website Content Management Systems (Kentico, Wordpress or Drupal, for example)
  • Understanding of web fundamentals, including HTML, CSS and how websites are constructed.
  • Ability to create and edit images and vector graphics using programs such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience working with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Monday.com, Trello, ClickUp) is an asset
  • Experience with SEO, Semantic Markup is an asset
  • Experience learning new software and technology platforms
  • Possessing a diploma or post-secondary degree in a related field (e.g Marketing, Communications, Web Design/Development) is an asset

 

Experience that will make you really stand out

  • Experience working with the Kentico CMS
  • Experience working in a shared services department
  • Experience with/understanding of WCAG, ADA and other web accessibility standards is an asset
  • Experience developing and/or maintaining standard processes.

This job is based in Calgary, Alberta and current, legal ability to work in Canada is required. The Pursuit Marketing team currently works in a hybrid office/at-home environment, depending on employee location and duties.
