What will be your daily pursuit?

We are looking for a Retail and Photo Manager to lead the operations at Golden Skybridge, combining the best of retail and photography to enhance our guests' experiences. This role is integral to creating memorable moments for visitors, from curating a top-notch retail environment to ensuring exceptional photo services that capture the beauty of the Skybridge. You’ll manage both areas, driving sales, leading a motivated team, and ensuring that every guest leaves with a piece of their adventure. 

You’ll work closely with a dynamic team, ensuring that retail displays are as stunning as the views and that every guest photo is a work of art. As a leader, you’ll inspire excellence, create a high-energy, guest-focused environment, and contribute to the overall success of Golden Skybridge. 

What will your compensation be?

The Starting wage for this role is $52,000 CAD please note this is an annualized salary as the contract will not run year round

When does this adventure begin?

April until October 2025

What will you do in this job?

Retail Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee all aspects of daily operations for the retail store, including team scheduling, inventory management, and product displays. 
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue, meet performance goals, and identify opportunities for improvement. 
  • Curate product offerings by selecting, ordering, and stocking merchandise that aligns with our brand and guest expectations. 
  • Maintain a visually appealing retail environment, ensuring it meets Golden Skybridge’s high standards and is organized and welcoming for guests. 
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues regarding merchandise, returns, or store policies. 
  • Analyse sales data and customer feedback to spot trends and improve product selection or operational processes. 
  • Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to negotiate pricing, ordering, and delivery schedules for a seamless retail operation. 
  • Coordinate and conduct staff training to ensure the team delivers exceptional service. 

Photo Responsibilities: 

 

  •  Oversee the photo operation, ensuring photos are taken with high quality, in line with Golden Skybridge’s standards. 
  • Develop compelling photo packages, offering services such as prints, digital downloads, and themed photo merchandise. 
  • Ensure the timely production and delivery of high-quality photos to guests. 
  • Track photo sales, both digital and physical, to optimize profitability and performance. 
  • Lead marketing initiatives for photo services, including seasonal promotions, upsell strategies, and social media content. 
  • Monitor guest satisfaction with the photo services and use feedback to continually improve the guest experience. 
  • Train and supervise the photography team to ensure professional conduct, excellent customer service, and expertise in photography. 

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

Selection criteria: 

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:  

  • Previous experience in retail management or sales, ideally in tourism, hospitality, or photography-related environments. 
  • Strong leadership abilities, with experience motivating and managing a diverse team. 
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills, with a passion for creating positive guest experiences. 
  • A keen eye for visual merchandising and photography, with a solid understanding of photo products and services. 
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. 
  • Proficiency in retail management software, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Ability to handle guest concerns with professionalism and courtesy. 
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and peak season hours. 
  • Previous experience with social media marketing and content creation is a plus. 
  • Up-to-date with industry trends in retail, food & beverage, and hospitality. 
  • Experience in financial management and driving both employee and guest  

 

work schedule 

This position is expected to work 30–44 hours per week, with a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule. Days off may vary week-to-week based on business levels and staffing needs. Hours of work will vary depending on hours of operation, particularly during peak seasons.
