What will be your daily pursuit?

In this highly detailed role, you will be a key player as to ensuring our cash handling and daily point of sale transactions are safely, effectively and integrally managed.

What will your compensation be?

The starting salary for this position is $19.50 + $1.00 / hour retention bonus for every regular hour worked. 

When does this adventure begin?

This position begins May 12, 2025 and runs until October 17, 2024.

What will you do in this job?

The Cash Control position plays a major supporting role to the Maligne Lake Operations, Retail and Food and Beverage teams as to daily cash management and POS reconciliation and auditing. Cash Controllers are up to date on all Pursuit products, discounts, promotions, point of sale systems, cash handling and cash out procedures. This role requires a self-motivator who can work without direct supervision, with high attention to detail, integrity and patience.

 

  • Auditing daily cash, credit card and billing transactions
  • Troubleshooting any cashout transaction issues/discrepancies, correcting any following up with the according departments as to cash reconciliation issues and errors needing to be addressed.
  • Managing all cash floats and daily deposits including cash safeguard practices, creating change orders and counting and tracking of all deposits and floats.
  • Support and work collaboratively with the Maligne Valley Managers and Supervisors regarding any POS transaction issues, voucher redemption practices and travel trade billing to ensure accuracy, proper processing and tracking management

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Organization and time management skills are a must, but a passion for making a difference for each guest and employee is the most important aspect of this position!
  • Administrative skills including proficient use of Microsoft office
  • Accounting experience is an asset
  • Experience with RTP, Micros and Retail Pro, an asset
  • Previous cash handling and point of sale system experience
  • Proven strength in Problem Solving, attention to detail and ability to make decisions
  • Must get excited at the idea of living and working in a remote (yet very social) environment
  • Ability to think on the fly and outside the box to solve problems with a positive attitude
  • Mature with a high level of integrity, energetic, dependable and self-motivated
  • Enjoy working with a team in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards
