What will be your daily pursuit?

Working outside in Golden, BC this labourer role supports the maintenance of Golden Skybridge.

What will your compensation be?

The starting salary for this position is $21.00 per hour

What will you do in this job?

  • Assist journeyman tradesman by performing duties related to carpentry, drywall, plumbing or electrical work

  • Perform minor repairs on buildings and grounds

  • Assisting with groundwork in relation to tree operations

  • Operate power tools and equipment

  • Drive service truck to transport material and supplies

  • Load and unload material and supplies

  • Plant new flowers, trees, grass, hedges, and bushes and assist with landscaping upkeep

  • Demonstrate effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to deliver projects

  • Provide feedback to the Operations Manager regarding mechanical, equipment, or manpower problems

  • Upkeep and cleaning of work zone to ensure all areas meet expectations for cleanliness

  • Execute all work in a safe, professional manner in compliance with H&S and our Always Honest Policy

  • Other duties as required

What skills and experience do you need for this job?

  • Strong physical stamina and conditioning. Physical demands of the position include: working outdoors in all weather conditions, repetitive actions and speaking, sitting/standing for extended periods of time, frequent bending/twisting, and ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs

  • Class 5 License

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong customer focus providing friendly, professional, and efficient service

  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Demonstrate high levels of positive energy and a willingness to take on new challenges

  • Strong communication and listening skills with local and international guests and staff, second language skills highly advantageous

  • First Aid Training an asset
